The Lighthouse Retreat is owned and operated by two Palestinian sisters originally from Toronto, Canada, who turned a long-held dream into a life built on Little Corn Island.
What began as a personal connection to the island grew into a shared vision: to create a small, intentional retreat space where guests feel safe, supported, and deeply at ease.
With backgrounds in hospitality, wellness, and retreat hosting, they understand both sides of the experience; what retreat leaders need to feel supported, and what guests need to truly unwind.
You’ll often find them on the property, welcoming groups, coordinating details, and ensuring everything flows smoothly from arrival to departure.
This is not a large resort operation.

To keep your planning structured and transparent, full-venue buyouts are managed under the following payment milestones and agreements:
3-Step Payment Schedule & Auto-Charge Consent:
30% Non-Refundable Deposit: Due at the time of booking to lock out your dates.
20% Progress Payment: Due 60 days after signing your agreement.
50% Final Balance: Due 90 days prior to your retreat check-in date.
(By signing your hosting agreement, you authorize The Lighthouse Retreat to automatically charge the card on file on these scheduled dates).
Date Transfer Flexibility: If you need to reschedule your retreat, 100% of monies paid are transferable toward a new retreat start date within 6 months of the original check-in date (subject to owner approval, venue availability, seasonal rate adjustments, and notice timelines outlined in your contract).
Strict Baseline & Balance Policy: All payments are strictly non-refundable. If a retreat is canceled and not rescheduled within the 6-month transfer window, all funds paid remain strictly forfeited. Any remaining unpaid balance according to your payment schedule becomes immediately due and will be automatically charged to the credit card on file.
Host Autonomy: As the retreat facilitator, you set your own retreat package pricing, manage guest registrations, and establish your participant refund policies.
Travel Protection Mandate: Due to our remote island setting and non-refundable buyout structure, we require all retreat hosts and attendees to secure comprehensive travel insurance (including Cancel For Any Reason / CFAR coverage).
